Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM), Yang Ming Marine Transport, and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have announced a coordinated restructuring of their Asia-Mediterranean, Transpacific, and Middle East services.

The current MS2/MP2 service will be split. The Asia-Mediterranean leg will operate independently as MD2, while the Transpacific and Middle East routes will merge and restart as GS2 or KMP.

The MD2 service will rotate among all three carriers on the following loop: Busan–Shanghai–Ningbo–Kaohsiung–Shekou–Singapore–Cape Town–Tangier–Valencia–Barcelona–Genoa–Fos–Cape Town–Singapore–Busan. The inaugural voyage departs Busan on September 7, 2025, aboard Hyundai Neptune (V.040W).

Westbound, the service covers Western Mediterranean ports in Spain, Italy, France, and Morocco, with Tangier serving as a North African transshipment hub. Eastbound, it provides fast connections from the Western Mediterranean to Busan and central China. Southeast Asia ports include Singapore, Laem Chabang, and Jebel Ali.

The GS2/KMP service links the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North Asia to the U.S. West Coast through two integrated rotations.

Transpacific rotation: Middle East–Singapore–Laem Chabang–Jebel Ali–Shanghai–Busan–Long Beach–Oakland–Busan–Dalian–Xingang–Qingdao–Busan–Shanghai–Ningbo–Kaohsiung–Shekou–Singapore–Middle East.

Inaugural voyage: YM Wonderland V.028E, expected to arrive in Singapore on September 4, 2025.

Asia-Middle East rotation: U.S. West Coast–Busan–Dalian–Xingang–Qingdao–Busan–Shanghai–Ningbo–Kaohsiung–Shekou–Singapore–Jebel Ali–Dammam–Jubail–Hamad–Abu Dhabi–Jebel Ali–Sohar–Singapore–Laem Chabang–Jebel Ali–Shanghai–Busan–U.S. West Coast.

Inaugural voyage: HMM Daon V.019W, expected to reach Xingang on September 8, 2025.

This route adds Dalian to enhance connections between North China and the Middle East.
